Castle Inn is located at the top of the high street in Newport which is the capital town on the Isle of Wight. The pub is surrounded by secondary retail shops and a TravelLodge is located to the rear of the building.There is now a Loungers bar five doors down from the pub and a Wetherspoons 200m away which create a circuit but also price competition. 

The pub is reputed to be the oldest on the IOW and has links back to Carisbrooke Castle. It has a rustic charm including a stone fireplace and wooden beams, the Castle Inn oozes character throughout. A single bar servery hosts cask ales as well as a large range of lagers. To the rear is a function room with its own bar servery, ideal for hosting private events. The commercial kitchen is compact and capable of supporting a traditional menu and the cellar is on the ground floor to the rear of the property. 

There is a large courtyard area to the rear of the pub with a large enclosed decked area for customers to enjoy a drink in the warmer weather.
