About the Pub

The Coach & Horses is an original, traditional pub in the city and is something of a hidden gem. The pub has won the Bristol in Bloom pub frontage competition, so expect to see flowering baskets hanging and colourful posies aplenty when you turn up.

Its a hugely inviting pub, located in a small square just off of Blackboy Hilll near the famous Whiteladies Road with outdoor seating, an open fire and serves traditional, quality homemade food and a wide selection of real ales.  Popular with students, residents and office workers alike. Whether you’re stopping by for a few drinks with friends or settling in for a wholesome family meal,. On sunny days, you can relax and soak up the rays in the patio beer garden.

Internally, the pub is of a traditional style and decorated to a high standard, benefitting from two trade areas with a beautiful open fireplace. Diners are currently accommodated in the trading area to the rear of the pub. There is a small snug to the left, seating by the bay window and along the bar, and then a further seating area in an added split-level area up to the right. The second-floor trade kitchen is of a good size and capable of supporting a quality food offer.
