The Earl of Stamford is a prominent, traditional wet-led community pub situated in the centre of Birstall, a suburb of Leicester. It has a strong local following, most of whom are sports oriented and has several football, darts and pool teams. The site comprises a large bar area and rear lounge that can be used as a function room, for private parties and events. There is a beer terrace and garden to the front and side of the pub, which offers kerb side appeal. There has been some major upgrades to the main bar area over the last year and there is scope to upgrade the trade kitchen, which would form part of any agreement with a future publican, allowing the introduction of a more substantial food offer.
