Nags Head is a great pub located right in the heart of the market town of Brampton. The town is within the city of Carlisle which appeals to people from a wide geographical area at weekends. It is built of local sandstone, and situated in a hollow formed by glacial action which took place during the ice age. Hadrian’s Wall, located within a few miles, is the most important monument built by the Romans in Britain. It stretches seventy-three miles from Wallsend near Newcastle, across the neck of England to the Solway in North West Cumbria.
