The Pilot is a lovely destination food-led pub enjoying a superb location overlooking the banks of the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal. The pub benefits from a very large plot and has a large garden and car park & there is a sunny patio overlooking the canal. the pub has wooden floors and loose furniture, there are lots of character features including real fires. there is a light and airy dining room and conservatory with about 40 covers. there is limited competition for the catchment area so the right operator can do very well here. We are looking for an experienced caterer to further develop this fantastic site and take it to the next level but keep the pub at the heart of the local community.

The traditional décor with rustic touches creates a cosy and warm atmosphere. Wooden beams line the ceilings and real fires add to the character and charm of this wonderful countryside pub. There is one bar servery, with storage and back bar shelving that provides ample room for merchandising. Immediately in front of the servery are several wooden tables and chairs for guests to enjoy a relaxing drink. There is wooden flooring throughout along with several carpeted areas, and a mixture of lamps together with lovely large windows create a light and airy feel. Loose-fitted furniture features within the restaurant and conservatory and there is room to accommodate up to 45 covers throughout. The trade kitchen is of a good size and can adequately support a quality food offer; with additional investment, there is further scope to expand and develop trade levels.

The Pilot has extensive external facilities that provide the upmost potential to increase trade levels, especially during the warmer months. A large garden wraps around three sides of the pub and overlooks the canal. There is space for around 20 picnic benches. Outbuildings are currently being utilised for storage. There is a fully fitted pizza kitchen in one of the outbuildings. An additional patio is situated at the front of the building and provides room for a further eight picnic benches. The large tarmacked car park can accommodate 50 vehicles.
