The Blacksmiths is a traditional, village local in the charming village of Huntington on the outskirts of York. The pub has a good reputation for food and a good range of regularly changing cask beers. It is well supported by the village and has a good range of both local and passing clientele. The pub has a good reputation for live music at weekends. Internally, it is very cosy with a separate dining area for 40 covers with a further 10 tables outside for customers who wish to dine/drink al fresco. The Blacksmiths also boast a large car park.
There is a central bar servery which is accessible from both sides of the pub. The separate dining area is perfect for diners wanting to sit away from the main bar area, accommodating up to 40 covers. The trade kitchen is well-equipped and of a good size for the number of covers the pub can cater for. The pub is traditionally decorated throughout, with exposed brickwork, wood panelling and lots of snug areas in which customers can relax. Live music has been a regular feature at the pub, with musicians often playing in the bar area at weekends.
To the rear of the pub is a compact covered area, with a large beer garden beyond this. The beer garden is laid with gravel and has space for 10 large picnic-style benches, accommodating up to 80 covers. The car park is of a good size with space for 20 vehicles.
