The Drunken Duck is a classic community pub set on a busy roadside location in Walsall Wood. Offering all the elements associated with a community pub at the heart of its locality, live entertainment, pool, pub games, beer garden, smoking area and also currently showing Sky and BT. The main bar area has seating for around 75 with a mixture of lounge seating and more formal seating where food could be offered, and this area also hosts regular live evening entertainment. Much of this space has been soundproofed to ensure neighbours are not disturbed by noise during live entertainment events. To the left of the bar servery is a smaller, more intimate area with seating for 15 customers, ideal for those seeking a quiet drink. Leading on from the snug is the games room with a pool table; there is no seating in this room, but ample space for around 20 standing customers. Recently, the trade kitchen has been re-sited into a disused storeroom to provide an up-to-date facility able to serve traditional pub food, including Sunday lunches. The pub does not currently offer food. The private accommodation consists of three bedrooms, a lounge and a kitchen, all in good decorative order.

We intend to support the successful applicant by improving some of the outdoor trading areas.
