The Duke of York is a city centre pub in Wolverhampton. It is a wet-led pub with a fantastic trading history. It attracts a great deal of local customs as well as passing and shopping trade, as well as a great deal of football customs.
The pub has a very traditional feel which is one of its main attractions. The internal space is open plan and made up of several good-sized rooms, including a games area with darts; all of which are catered for by one main bar service. The pub benefits from cask ale hand pumps and the bar is accessible from all areas. The commercial kitchen would require some additional appliances.
To the rear is a small patio/yard area with several picnic benches with limited seating, the space is mainly as a smoking area.
We intend to support the successful applicant by improving some of the internal trading areas.
