Upon entry, there is one large trading area that is split into three sections to cater for pool, darts and dining. The pub is decorated to a high standard throughout and has a mixture of loose and fitted seating, along with some comfortable sofas. There is a definite homely feel to the pub which comes from the layout and open plan bar and lounge. Throughout the pub there is access to pub games such as a pool table and a dart board. There is a good-sized kitchen equipped to support a small traditional food menu that can cater for around 15-20 covers inside and a further 10 covers outside in the warm summer months. The pub is currently driven by wet-led sales but there is scope to push the sales further by developing a good food offering.
There is a covered patio which has TV screens showing sport outside to the rear of the pub, this proves very popular during the warmer summer months. The Elm Tree has a good-sized garden and a large heated patio area. There are a few picnic-style benches outside that can be used to accommodate around 10 covers in the summer. The outdoor space is also big enough to host small events or parties to drive additional income to the pub business.
