About the Pub

The Golden Lion is an excellent community pub situated in the heart of Magor, a delightful village in Monmouthshire close to the other local amenities. The pub is well presented with modern décor but still retains some original features of the old coaching inn it once was.

Currently operating from a bar with sports viewing, cribbage and bar games and separate lounge area for dining for up 50 covers, the Golden Lion caters for all types of the community. There is a trade kitchen to the back of the pub which can be accessed from the dining area and beer garden. On the first floor is a function room which houses a bar serving all types of beer and can accommodate 50 guests at one time, a great driver for additional income.

Externally, there is a large and covered beer garden for guests to enjoy during the warmer months. Despite there being no onsite car park there is plenty of parking available nearby being in the centre of the village square.
