Recently refurbished, The Lord Nelson Pub in Jarrow, located on Monkton Lane, is a popular and recently refurbished venue offering a mix of traditional and modern pub experiences. It features an extensive food and drink menu that includes pub classics and Sunday roasts.  A wide range of cocktails, beers, and wines are also available. Families and dogs are welcome, making it a friendly spot for all guests.

There are five TV screens and a state-of-the-art sound system, making it an excellent destination for sports fans. It also offers a variety of food deals and drinks, including craft ales and cocktails, to appeal to diverse tastes. Weekly events like quiz nights, live music, and community festivals, such as the Monkton Leek Festival, are highly anticipated by the locals.

The pub is known for its live music events, quiz nights, and sports screenings on big screens, making it a hub for entertainment in the area. Its facilities include wheelchair access, a beer garden, pool tables, and a dedicated function area. The pub also offers a marquee available for private hire at the rear of the beer garden. The marquee can accommodate approximately 100 seated guests or up to 120 for standing events like drinks parties. It is an ideal venue for celebrations, weddings, family gatherings, and work events. The marquee is available 365 days a year.   Music events in the marquee have a cutoff time of 10 PM due to the residential location.

The site currently benefits from both on-site dining and off-site delivery through a "Dark Kitchen" model. Our agreement allows the successful operator the same flexibility should they wish.
