The Nursery Tavern is a traditional three-room community pub located just two miles outside of central Coventry. The pub is positioned on a residential terraced street and surrounded by good quality terraced housing, meaning there is plenty of local trade to capture. The Nursery Tavern has a great reputation for cask ale and there is an opportunity to match with a more premium lager and spirit offer. The pub is a two-bar operation, with three trading rooms, each with its own purpose. Both bar areas can accommodate up to 20 covers, the third room accommodating up to 30 covers. The third room, whilst not a function room, does provide the opportunity for small parties or occasions and live music. The pub is traditionally decorated throughout, with various memorabilia adorning the walls and a mixture of loose and fixed seating for guests. A compact trade kitchen is well placed and capable of serving all three trade areas and the courtyard. To the rear of the pub is a fantastic courtyard of a good size, which could comfortably accommodate up to 50 covers. This space has been utilised in the past to host live music events something the new publican should look to reintroduce, to maximise revenue. There is opportunity to add more of a covered area to ensure it’s an area that can be utilised all year round.
