The Old Malt Shovel is a spacious, old character pub located on a prominent main road into Newark from Lincoln. The pub is traditionally decorated with two log burning fires which are lit in the colder months creating a cosy feel. There is a single servery in the attractive, traditional bar with an open plan trading area which leads through to an extension at the rear. This space creates the restaurant area, has seating for approximately 30 diners and has previously been utilised for small functions. The business has historically offered a selection of live music including jazz and folk music which should be re-implemented in order to create further revenue.
