The Railway is a large community pub located opposite the train station in Greenfield, Oldham, surrounded by residential housing and close to industry. The licensed area is traditionally decorated and has a number of areas for customers to enjoy a drink and partake in pub games sucah as darts and pool. The pub is perched on top of a hillside and enjoys magnificient views of the surrounding area. The business is currently 100% wet led however a competent operator could look at introducing a simple food solution and develop some of the upstairs area into letting accommodation. There is currently an under utilised function room upstairs. The Railway has a carpark to the side and beer garden which could be developed into a great outside drinking area during the summer.

The building is traditional in design; exposed beams add to the atmosphere and it is furnished with fixed and loose seating throughout. A central horseshoe bar serves the main trading areas of the pub which has a total capacity of approximately 200 people. The Railway is also equipped for live music entertainment and regularly hosts live bands including blues, rock, soul and folk music. In addition to this, there is a function room which, with some additional marketing, could provide an additional revenue stream. The bedrooms upstairs provide huge potential to develop trade further by letting them out.

The small seating area to the front of the building is currently utilised as a smoking area and provides seating for six people. To the left of the property is a beer garden with amazing views of the surrounding area. There is also a car park with space for six vehicles.
