About the Pub

The Royal Oak is a Grade II listed 16th century Coaching Inn in the picturesque village of Bere Regis perfectly situated for exploring the Isle of Purbeck and the Jurassic Coast. Located centrally to some of the south coast’s most beautiful scenery and popular attractions. Local attractions include Monkey World, The Bovington Tank Museum, Corfe Castle and the famous Lulworth Cove on the spectacular Dorset coast. Slightly further afield the A35 connects Bere Regis to the extensive shopping and entertainment facilities of Bournemouth and Poole in just half an hour.

Inside the pub there is a locals bar that is adjacent to a dining area that leads through to the patio and garden outside. There is also a skittle alley that doubles up as a function room. The décor throughout is traditional and bright, featuring exposed brick wall interior and a mixture of loose and fixed wooden seating for up to 30 covers. The Royal Oak Hotel boasts three spacious letting rooms, all with en-suite facilities, all of which are in good decorative order. Furthermore, there is a well equipped trade kitchen.

There is a very pretty courtyard to the rear of the pub that seats approximately 24 and a good size secluded garden seating approximately 36 with picnic style benches. There is a car park to the rear of the pub for approximately 8 cars with on street parking in the village also available.
