About the Pub

The Ship Inn is a traditional, wet-led community pub located on London Road in Grays. Well established within the local area, the pub is known as a friendly and welcoming venue for drinks, live sport and social occasions, and is often referred to simply as “The Ship” by its regulars.

The internal layout centres around a single bar serving an open-plan trading area, designed to support both everyday trade and busier matchday atmospheres. The space is well set up for sport and social activity, featuring:

  • Multiple televisions positioned throughout for live sports viewing

  • A pool table and darts area, popular with local teams and casual players

  • Flexible seating and standing space to accommodate groups and events

Externally, the pub benefits from an enclosed rear beer garden, providing valuable additional capacity during the warmer months and offering scope for outdoor events and social gatherings.
