About the Pub

Set in one acre of grounds, the Swan is a truly stunning grade II listed pub situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Hoxne. The pub dates back to 1480 and has multitude of original features including open beams ceiling, large open fireplaces and wooden floors giving this pub a truly remarkable character and ambience.

This pub, with its considerable historic interest, attracts both locals and visitors from far afield that come to drink and dine in these delightful surroundings. The pub boasts intimate trading areas and offers a main bar that serves two rooms. The lounge has seating for 44 people, a large inglenook fireplace and wooden beams. There is a separate restaurant which holds 30 dining covers and also has an open fireplace.

A very large garden sits alongside a river and is complete with picnic style benches for around 40 guests to sit with a drink and watch the world go by. This space is ideal for marquee events and summer dining. A large willow tree and a wooded area creates an interesting area for children to play.

There is also a garden to the side of the pub, which is laid to lawn and a patio area to the immediate rear. The car park provides space for approximately 30 vehicles, with additional parking in the village.
