A long‑standing, lively pub located on the famous Westgate Run. 

The Wagon is situated approximately half a mile from the centre of Wakefield on a busy main road. It is a very popular pub on the well-known weekend circuit the ‘Westgate Run’ that attracts a broad age group. Nearby there are several small businesses and extensive areas of housing, which enables the development of local regular customers. The pub is also near the Wakefield Westgate train station and several bus routes.  

The Wagon has a warm and welcoming feel. It is a one room pub operation that is well laid out and flexible with its space. The bar has a great presence as you walk in, clearly showing off the range of cask ales, premium spirits and cocktails available, whilst including space for a coffee machine. The design of the trading area provides different zones from comfortable window seats, smaller private spaces and flexible seating arrangements, to ensure a comfortable environment for groups and couples. This is particularly handy during the pub's music events, which enables a good stage to be created. Additionally there is a small kitchen which can provide bar snacks to supplement the wet trade. 

To the rear there is a covered, wall-enclosed patio with seating and heat lamps providing a pleasant space all year round.
