About the Pub

The White Hart is situated at the social centre of the busy tourist town of Caerleon, approximately two miles north of Newport. Caerleon is a much sought after area within South Wales, and the pub sits at the centre of a social circuit in the middle of the town. As you enter the historic pub from the high street, you walk directly into a comfortable lounge area served by a central bar with full visibility of a vertical drinking area at the rear with access to a large rear beer garden. The White Hart is ideally situated for town centre locals through the week and a more lively weekend scene throughout the weekend.

As you enter from the high street, the front door leads you into an open plan trading area with seating and room to stand, accommodating up to 100 customers. The bar servery is in the centre of the pub and allows service to a softer lounge at the front of the pub and a rear bar designed for high volume and higher energy custom. On the second floor there is a commercial kitchen that will need investment but is large enough to provide a good pub food offer to a small second floor bar and the main trading area on the ground floor.

Leading out from the back of the lounge is a small step which takes you into an enclosed rear garden/patio area, approximately 30ft x 25ft, surrounded by walls and considered a sun trap. By adding some furniture to the area you will be able to make the most of this space. There is a small area for five cars at rear of the building and plenty of car parking within the town.
