About the Pub

A large and well-appointed community local situated by the mini roundabout on the corner of Rawlinson Lane and Chorley Road in Heath Charnock. The White Horse is a well-known landmark and the largest pub in the immediate vicinity with its own car park.

The large wooden U-shaped bar servery covers both the games room and the main lounge. To the left of the entrance is a small traditional games room with a pool table, and to the right is the lounge. The rear of the lounge can also be used as a function room. The games room has a capacity for around 40 people, of which there is seating for about 20. The lounge area has a capacity for around 100 people, of which there is seating for about 76. All areas have benefited from a recent refurbishment. Regular live music, comedy acts, karaoke and discos are a feature of this pub's entertainment programme and should be continued in line with popular demand. The catering kitchen is basic, and with investment, it could easily deliver quality home-cooked food.

To the rear of the property is a patio area as you enter the pub via the car park. The patio is raised from the adjacent pavement, furnished with potted plants and shrubbery.  There is also a popular kids' play area. The enclosed car park can accommodate 15 vehicles and can be accessed off Rawlinson Lane. The patio also acts as a smoking solution.
