The White Lion combines all the attributes of a community local looking after its regular customers and that of a town centre high street bar, with the ability to attract shoppers and office workers during the day and early evening for both food and drinks. The pub can also be operated as a late-night venue with live music and DJs. There is a large bar with comfortable booth seating and a separate pool and games room. It has a small car park at the rear, which can be used as an external drinking space during the warmer months.

The White Lion is a two-room operation with a single bar, traditionally decorated throughout with a mixture of loose and fixed furniture. The main bar area accommodates approximately 60 guests and features television screens for sports viewing. Leading on from the bar is a separate games room complete with a pool table and darts, and the ability to hold a range of traditional pub games. Live music is a key feature of the pub and attracts good levels of trade during evenings and weekends. The is a kitchen where there is an opportunity for food.

To the rear of the pub is a small courtyard with bench-style seating, accommodating up to 30 customers. The car park offers five spaces, but could be used for additional seating in the summer.
