We’re raising a glass (or two!) to celebrate the grand opening of another fantastic Craft Union pub: The Lime Tree in Peterborough!

A landmark transformed: A new chapter for the Lime Tree

The Lime Tree is a spacious and historic pub dating back to 1935. Located in the heart of Cambridgeshire’s cathedral city, this local gem has served the community for decades and is now ready for a new chapter with Craft Union.

Leading the charge at The Lime Tree are Marie and Mitch, a couple who have found their true calling in the pub industry. Long time regulars themselves, Marie and Mitch successfully ran the pub for the past six months and are excited to continue their journey under the Craft Union.

Big Bands, Big Fun, Big Euros!

Marie and Mitch are passionate about creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Big band nights are a big part of the pub’s charm, and they plan to keep the tradition alive alongside other exciting events and activities.

With the Euro’s just round the corner, The Lime Tree is gearing up to be the perfect place to catch the games. The recently revamped rear garden boasts a new smoking shelter, television, and plenty of seating – perfect for soaking up the summer sun and cheering on favourite teams.

A fresh look, a familiar feel

Craft Union invested heavily in the Lime Tree to ensure it continues to be a beloved local haunt. The traditional façade has been carefully preserved, while new amenity signage showcases the exciting activities on offer.

Step inside and discover a welcoming space that’s been thoughtfully refurbished. The first room features reupholstered fixed seating and comfortable loose furniture, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. New carpets, colour schemes, wallpaper designs, and curtains add a touch of modern flair while retaining the pubs character.

The rear room has been transformed into a versatile space perfect for any occasion. Double pool tables invite friendly competition, while illuminated dartboards provide another opportunity to test customers skills. New carpets and a zoned audio system with Sky/TNT boxes create a comfortable and entertaining environment. Live music nights are also planned for this room, promising to be a big hit with locals.
