We have another amazing Craft Union pub open and trading! The latest pub to join Craft Union is the Sir Henry Royce, located in the heart of Peterborough.
A Pub Steeped in History
The Sir Henry Royce takes its name from the legendary engineer and co-founder of Rolls-Royce, a true local hero. Peterborough itself boasts a rich history as a cathedral city in Cambridgeshire, just 76 miles north of London. Nestled on the banks of the river Nene, which flows to the North Sea, Peterborough has seen its population boom to over 215,000 in 2021, thanks in part to the arrival of the railways and flourishing industries. History buffs will also be fascinated to learn that Peterborough Cathedral is the final resting place for not one, but two Queens – Katharine of Aragon and Mary Queen of Scots!
Introducing Dan
Get ready for a warm welcome when you visit the Sir Henry Royce, because Dan, our soon-to-be Operator, is a family man at heart and thrives in creating a welcoming community hub. With experience working for both large pub chains and smaller independent pubs, Dan was particularly drawn to Craft Union's family atmosphere. He's no stranger to the Craft Union family either, having previously worked alongside them at the Black Bull in Whittlesey.
Dan's brimming with enthusiasm and has some fantastic plans in the works for Sir Henry Royce, including DJ nights on Fridays and Saturdays, hilarious Drag Artist performances on Tuesdays, and a whole lot more local events and activities. We can't wait to see what the future holds for this fabulous pub under Dan's leadership!

Tech Upgrade: The pub now boasts the Craft EPOS till system, ensuring a smooth and efficient customer experience.
Spruce Up for Comfort: The pub has undergone a minor refurbishment to create a comfortable and inviting space for all customers.
Game On! For those who enjoy a bit of friendly competition, the Sir Henry Royce features a dedicated darts area and two pool tables.
The Euros Await! Get ready to cheer on your team this summer – the pub is equipped with a full Sky/TNT system, making it the perfect place to catch all the action.
