If you’ve worked in hospitality — maybe as a General Manager or Assistant Manager — you already have what it takes to succeed as a self-employed Operator with Craft Union.
You’ll lead your own pub business, with the support of an established network. No large investment. No hidden costs. Just the chance to take control of your career and your income — while doing what you do best.
We’ll provide the tools, training and guidance. You bring the passion, the people skills, and the drive to grow your pub.
You’ll earn a 20% operator fee on all wet sales and bar snacks. The more you sell, the more you earn — with no limit.
If you manage a high-volume pub, you’ll earn an additional 10% on all sales above budget. It’s a reward for the extra effort it takes to run a thriving, busy site.
We don’t ask you to invest your own money. You’ll pay a £2,000 bond, and we’ll cover your gas, electricity and water – including any on-site accommodation.
Optional extras like Sky, TNT Sports, business rates, security and entertainment packages can also be added.
Most of our pubs include rent-free accommodation above the venue. In the rare case on-site living isn’t available, we offer increased accommodation support payments, which we’ll discuss with you at interview.
